Words are inadequate

Tucker McKinnon
27 November 1976
McKinnon was my maternal great-grandmother's maiden name. I figure I've used my paternal great-grandfather's name about long enough. Tucker was what the cute girl a year older than me thought my name was the first week of high school. It kind of stuck.

I can be reached by email at this account name at dreamwidth.org.

Only in silence the word,
only in dark the light,
only in dying life:
bright the hawk's flight
on the empty sky.

--Ursula K. Le Guin, "The Creation of Éa"

The title/subtitle combo is from "Chromatic Aberration" by the transcendent John M. Ford (RIP), who also wrote:

It is in the mystery of priests to muddy what they say,
In the speech of statesmen to prove things their way,
In the way of engineers to twist nature's forces,
It is in the nature of poets to misuse their sources.

Sometimes things hit you just right, you know?

I'm told I'm difficult to buy things for. I provide this list as a public service.
